About
I didn’t set out to be an artist. I just knew, early on, that pictures made more sense to me than words.
Books and sketchpads became portals to safer worlds when real life felt too loud, too unpredictable. Art gave me a way to communicate without forcing words into place.
In the early 2000s, I found my way into London’s street art scene. People were building their own visual worlds without permission or hierarchy, and I recognised that way of working. I painted and exhibited alongside artists shaping the culture at the time, and it gave my work direction and momentum. It also ran in direct opposition to office environments I couldn’t function in. Neurodivergence and corporate systems don’t mix well. Making work wasn’t a lifestyle choice. It was a survival instinct.
I’m self-taught. No formal rules, no correct path — just years of repetition, curiosity, and obsession. That way of working has led to exhibitions, collaborations, and projects around the world, and a practice that continues to shift rather than settle.
My work sits in constant contrast: light and dark, hope and unease, clarity and noise. Some days the imagery leans brighter. Other days it comes from darker places. Most of the time, it’s the tension between the two that forms the narrative. That contrast isn’t a theme — it’s my internal landscape translated into a visual language.
More than twenty-five years after cutting and painting my first stencil, I’m still working the same way: building worlds, following the image where it leads, and letting the work say what I can’t.
